Application: MOLCAL™ ACET primarily used in the pharmaceutical industry as an oral phosphate binder for the treatment of hyperphosphatemia in chronic kidney disease patients. It binds dietary phosphate in the gastrointestinal tract to form insoluble calcium phosphate, reducing phosphate absorption. It is also used as a calcium supplement component and a functional ingredient in selected formulations. Calcium acetate is mainly available in tablet, capsule and oral solution dosage forms.
